Dr. Xiang-Yu Chen  

 

Xiang-Yu was born and grew up in Shandong, China. He received his B.S. from Xiangtan University and his Ph.D. from the Institute of Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014. His doctoral work focused on the development of new reactions catalyzed by N-heterocyclic carbenes. He continued the NHC chemistry in the group of Prof. Enders from September 2016. Xiang-Yu joined the Schoenebeck group in February 2018, where he will transition to merging metal catalysis with NHC chemistry.
