Mathias was born in Senlis, France. He obtained his BSc (2019) and MSc (2021) from the University of Rouen (France). He then joined the Durandetti group at the same institution as a PhD student, focusing on nickel-catalyzed intramolecular hydrosilylation and electrochemical reduction to obtain various silylated heterocycles. Mathias joined the Schoenebeck group as a postdoctoral researcher in April 2025.
