Jacopo grew up in Italy and studied chemistry at the University of Bologna, obtaining his MSc degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology in 2022. He then moved to Sweden, where he obtained a second MSc degree in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Gothenburg in 2025, conducting his MSc thesis project in AstraZeneca, on the synthesis and evaluation of pharmacokinetic properties of N-CF3 amides. Additionally, Jacopo carried out a one-year industrial placement in AstraZeneca, working on the synthesis of small molecules as supporting tools for oligonucleotide research. Jacopo joined the Schoenebeck group for his doctoral studies in September 2025.
