Nazlıcan grew up in Aydın, Turkey. She completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in chemistry at the Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Her master's studies focused on the synthesis of ROMP-based polymers and their post-functionalization via [2+2] Cycloaddition-Retroelectrocyclization. She joined the Schoenebeck group for her doctoral studies in October 2026.
