SiYuan Luo was born in Hebei, China. From 2015 to 2019 he obtained his bachelor of engineering in Tianjin University, majoring in chemical engineering and technology, supervised by Prof. Jiahui Wang & Prof. Fumin Wang. Then he got his MSc in ShanghaiTech University and SIOC (joint training), focussing on transition metal catalyzed asymmetric synthesis, supervised by Prof. GuoQian Lin. He joined the Schoenebeck group for his doctoral studies in May 2025.
